5GN Networks – A Unifying Digital Experience
Sun 23rd August, 2020

5GN Networks Limited (5GN)

Wilsons Advisory was pleased to act as Sole Lead Manager to 5G Networks Limited’s (5GN:ASX) recent institutional placement to raise approximately $18.2m. The funds raised will provide the company with the flexibility to grow its fibre network, pursue M&A opportunities and continue to implement its organic growth strategy.

Wilsons Advisory Head of Corporate Finance Origination, Richard Sherman said, “The significant support shown from both existing and new investors in this transaction reflects 5GN’s success in executing its growth strategy to date and its exciting prospects ahead. We look forward to working alongside 5GN in the coming years as it continues to capitalise on these exciting growth opportunities.”

5G Networks is a licenced telecommunications carrier & cloud and digital services provider operating across Australia. Their core business is improving connectivity and speed of service across internet and cloud applications, with the mission to provide a unifying seamless digital experience for customers. At the end of 2019, 5GN Networks received the CRN fastest growing IT services award. The company has been outcompeting the incumbents to offer a more tailored experience, disrupting the telecommunications industry and making it an attractive company to partner with.

With the newly raised capital, 5GN plans to expand its existing fibre infrastructure networks in Sydney and Melbourne and additionally build new networks in Brisbane and Adelaide with a focus on key data centre locations. The company employs a growth-by-acquisition strategy, with the majority of its revenues derived from recurring contracts.

Recently, 5GN acquired ColoAu, a strategic move to enable them to fast track their wholesale section of business by using established ColoAU platforms. The acquisition will allow customers to enjoy automated self-service capabilities.
