Active Employee Volunteering
In addition to sponsorships, the company pays team entry and/or individual registration fees for employees wanting to participate directly in a wide range of charity and community fundraising activities.
Some of the annual events employees participate in include the following:
- Junior Diabetes Research Foundation Ride to Cure Diabetes
- Sydney City 2 Surf: Walk / run
- Salvation Army: Red Shield Appeal Doorknock & Christmas Toy Warehouse packaging
In addition, regular “gold coin donation / dress down days” are also held, where the company matches amounts donated by employees in support of emergency appeals.
Through this highly popular program, WIG offers dollar for dollar matching for employee donations made to eligible Australian charities via monthly pre tax payroll deductions.

Managed by an independent Board of Directors, the Foundation has distributed more than $1.9 million to date. The bulk of donations are gifted to charities supported by employees who are actively volunteering their time, skills and energy.
